We are committed to providing high quality legal advice and client care.
However, if at any point you become unhappy or concerned about the service provided, please inform us immediately so that we can do our best to resolve the problem.
In the first instance it may be helpful to contact the person who is handling your matter so that we can hopefully resolve the issue informally.
The following outlines our recommended procedure for making a formal complaint. Please note that making a complaint will not affect how we handle your case.
We are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and complaints and redress mechanisms are provided through them and the Legal Ombudsman.
We have eight weeks to consider your complaint. If we are unable to resolve any such concerns to your satisfaction, you are entitled to have the complaint independently looked at by the Legal Ombudsman. This applies if you are an individual, a business with fewer than 10 employees and turnover or assets not exceeding a certain threshold, a charity or trust with a net income of less than £1m, or if you fall within certain other categories (you can find out more from the Legal Ombudsman— www.legalombudsman.org.uk).
The Legal Ombudsman investigates complaints about service issues with lawyers. Before accepting a complaint for investigation, the Legal Ombudsman will check that you have tried to resolve your complaint with us first. If you have, the Legal Ombudsman expects complaints to be made to them:

The Solicitors Regulation Authority can help if you are concerned about our behaviour. This could be for things like dishonesty, taking or losing your money or treating you unfairly because of your age, a disability or other characteristic.
Visit its website to see how you can raise your concerns with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Complaints about a client’s rights under the General Data Protection Regulation must be submitted to the Information Commissioner’s Office – www.ico.org.uk
Any disputes or legal issue arising from our Client Care and Terms of Business will be determined by the law of England & Wales and considered exclusively by the English & Welsh courts.
We know that taking the first step can feel daunting. Whether you need advice, reassurance, or simply someone to listen we’re ready when you are.
